This particular track was built around thoroughbred racing, thus the track is round instead of straight, though they are considering putting a straight one in for Quarter Horse racing.This track stretches 10 furlongs and is open to the public for use, free of charge.The annual races will also be held here.

The Wiley Ranch



The Wiley Ranch belongs to the siblings Samantha & Christopher Wiley.Thier parents were one of the first to invest in the town of Shetland, and were perhaps the most successful.They bred, trained, sold and competed thier horses, and the Towns hospital was built largely on thier winnings.Thier untimely death two years back left the ranch and what was left of the horses to thier children.

This ranch will occasionally have horses for sale, and they offer training for out of control horses.
